Cerney House Gardens sits in the Churn Valley on the Cotswolds, set around a Victorian walled garden that the owning family has developed over many years. Visitors wander through herbaceous borders, an organic kitchen garden and a herb garden, with plenty of insects and birds to spot along the way. A woodland nature trail runs through the wider grounds, which take in about 40 acres of Cotswold parkland, so there is room for a long, relaxed walk with children. The gardens suit families who enjoy nature, gentle exploring and an unhurried afternoon out rather than fast rides or play equipment. A small self-service tea room and a potting shed gift shop sit within the grounds, and the site is popular with dog walkers who keep dogs on leads. The paths are gravelly and the site is hilly, so pushchairs and wheelchairs may find some areas hard going.
Winter hours follow daylight. Closure for weather is decided on the day.
