The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery sits inside the Parkinson Building on the University of Leeds campus and is part of the Leeds University Library Galleries. Its main room mixes a rotating programme of temporary exhibitions with selected pieces from the university's art collection, which runs from the 17th century to the present day and includes European and British paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, ceramics and photographs. Admission is free and no booking is needed. Families visiting with older children may enjoy the public events the gallery runs, such as craft workshops and talks, and the galleries also publish a large-print visual story and a sensory map to help visitors plan a calmer trip. The space is intimate and quiet, so it suits a short, relaxed look at art rather than a long day out. A café is in the Parkinson Court next door.
