Somewhere Different is an interactive gallery of optical illusions, puzzles and hands-on challenges in Sheffield city centre. The main draw is the Gallery of Illusions, with over 120 exhibits that include a mirror maze, a giant bubble, a tilted room and an infinity room, which visitors work through at their own pace. The venue describes itself as suited to families and groups, and reviewers report that children aged around 4 to 12 have enjoyed it, while many adults also find the puzzles absorbing. After the gallery, families can spend time in the Board Games Café and PlayDeck, where younger children can run about on a small play deck. A tea room serves cake and food, and a shop sells sensory and fidget toys. Visits are booked as timed arrival slots and the gallery is spread over two floors reached by stairs only.
