Wigfield Farm is a working farm in Worsbrough on the edge of Barnsley, run by Barnsley College as a teaching hub for its animal management students. Families can walk around the paddocks to meet animals such as cows, goats, sheep and pigs, plus smaller animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and meerkats. There is a play area with a sandpit for children to burn off energy. A café serves light lunches, snacks and ice creams, and the farm sits beside Worsbrough Country Park, so a visit can be paired with a walk or a trip to the nearby mill. The farm also offers animal experiences, birthday parties and guided tours for school and group visits. It is a simple, low-key outing rather than a large attraction, and the venue's own pages suggest checking ahead for temporary changes to opening.
