Greys Court is a historic country house and garden set in the southern Chiltern Hills, a few miles west of Henley-on-Thames. The house was a family home until the early 2000s, so visitors see rooms furnished as they were lived in, with ornate plasterwork ceilings and stained-glass windows. Families can explore the walled gardens, which have surprises around every corner, and follow the waymarked walks across the wider estate, including a gentle woodland loop that takes around half an hour to forty minutes. An adventure play area sits behind the tea-room, and there are picnic benches between the car park and visitor reception. Children's activity trails and themed events run in school holidays and at Christmas, and there is a cafe and a shop on site. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds, though only assistance dogs go into the house and walled gardens. Parts of the site are only partly accessible, so check the access statement before planning a visit with a pushchair or wheelchair.
