Didcot Railway Centre is a living museum of the Great Western Railway, run by the Great Western Society as a registered charity. Visitors can see a collection of steam locomotives and rolling stock in a large site, and on running days steam or heritage diesel trains operate, with train rides included in admission. The calendar lists which days trains run and which days have special events, so families planning a visit should check it first. Admission prices are published separately for discovery, limited run and steam days. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and the centre also welcomes school groups and hosts seasonal events such as its Christmas steam trips.
