AIM Escape Rooms runs live escape games in a converted space close to Aldgate and Aldgate East stations in east London. Teams of two to six are locked into a themed room and work through puzzles against the clock, with the aim of finding their way out within an hour. The rooms lean on technology and automation rather than padlocks, so there are screens, sound and effects alongside the clues. Most games are aimed at adults, but the Spy Heroes game is marketed as a game for the whole family and is open to players aged 10 and over, with younger players under 16 needing an adult along. Staff watch each session and can give hints by audio, video or walkie-talkie. It suits older children and teenagers on a family outing, birthday groups and school-age friends, and the venue also takes team-building and party bookings. Check the age rules for each game before booking.
