C&J's Animal Park is a family-run animal park on the edge of Portadown, set in countryside and suited to young children. Visitors follow the paths past pens and aviaries holding a broad mix of animals, from goats, ponies and donkeys to rabbits, guinea pigs, wallabies, owls, parrots and micro pigs. The reptile house is a particular draw, with snakes, lizards and crocodiles on show. Staff run animal handling sessions during the day, where children can meet some of the smaller animals depending on what is available. The park also takes school and group visits. It works as a relaxed outing of a few hours rather than a fast-paced attraction, and it is a good option for families who want to get close to animals of all kinds.
