Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

The Spurn Discovery Centre is the starting point for a visit to Spurn Point, the long, narrow peninsula at the mouth of the Humber on the East Riding coast. The centre is run by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and holds a café, a shop, toilets and a Discovery Room packed with things to find out and do, which suits younger visitors on a wet or windy day. Families can join guided wildlife tours on a converted Unimog, take bike hire to ride the length of the peninsula, or walk out along the beach and dunes towards the old lighthouse. The reserve is a changing landscape of sand, shingle and wetland, so the staff at the desk are a useful first stop for bird sightings and tide information. Some activities and events are charged separately from the free entry to the centre and reserve.
