What’s there
- Birthday parties
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
Woldgate Trekking Centre sits on the old Roman road about a mile west of Bridlington, with a team of horses and ponies picked to suit novices and experienced riders alike. Escorted treks run through woodland and over the dales, in one and two hour rides, and nervous beginners can be led. Riding hats are provided for everyone and all ages and abilities are welcome, including disabled riders; parental guidance is required for very young riders and there is a weight limit. Alongside the treks the centre runs riding lessons and a Young Riders Club for children from about five upwards, which combines a ride or lesson with stable management skills such as mucking out, grooming and tacking up. It is an official Pony Club centre, so there are rallies, gymkhanas and summer camps to join, and the yard can arrange riding and grooming sessions for groups and birthdays.
