Angle Axe Throwing is Peterborough's first and foremost axe-throwing range, part of the alcohol-free, family-friendly Angle Entertainment venue at 939 Lincoln Road, Walton. Throwers aged 11 and over (under-16s must have an adult in the lane) get a fully coached sixty-minute session in a private lane holding up to four throwers. No experience is needed: a coach takes you through the safety brief, stance, swing and release, and most people are sticking the axe in the wood within ten minutes. The range follows World Axe Throwing League rules, including provisions for throwers with disabilities, and every booking includes a free wristband to the gaming lounge afterwards. Flat, closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Sessions run from noon to 8pm, seven days a week - book online, by phone, or walk in if a lane is free (book ahead at peak times, as lanes sell out on weekend evenings and in school holidays).
