Planet Ice Peterborough is an indoor ice rink at the Planet Ice Arena on Mallard Road, run by the Planet Ice group. Families can enjoy public ice skating sessions throughout the week, with skate hire available on site and skating aids for younger skaters to hire from around £7 an hour. Ice skating lessons are available for all ages and abilities, from 30-minute taster sessions to Learn to Skate and Hockey Excellence courses, plus dedicated sessions for children aged five and under featuring penguin skating aids. The rink also runs inclusive skate sessions for disabled skaters, home-education sessions, school holiday activities, and ice skating birthday parties with a dedicated party host. It is home to the Peterborough Phantoms ice hockey team, so there are often hockey games to watch on match nights. The on-site cafe serves hot food and snacks, and there is a car park on site. Sessions should be booked online in advance, especially during school holidays.
