Rock Road Library

Rock Road Library is a friendly Cambridgeshire County Council branch library in the Romsey area of Cambridge, run by Cambridgeshire Libraries. The library welcomes families to browse and borrow from its children's and adult collections, use free Wi-Fi and bookable public computers, print and photocopy, and use the space to study, meet or relax.

Families can enjoy free children's activities and creative craft events - such as the library's free 'Make Your Own Musical Note Bookmarks' workshop for families - plus events and workshops listed on the Cambridgeshire Library.Live programme. The library also runs a Scrabble Club and has a community room available for hire.

Facilities include free Wi-Fi (no library card needed), bookable computers, A3/A4 printing and photocopying (charges apply), a scanner, baby-changing facilities, accessible parking, a wheelchair-accessible entrance and toilet, and a community garden developed with the Friends of Rock Road Library.

Staffed opening hours are Monday 9am-1pm, Tuesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 3pm-6pm and Saturday 10am-2pm (closed Wednesday; closed on bank holidays). Registered members aged 16+ can also use Open+ self-service access for extended hours, including Sunday 10am-4pm. Entry and library membership are free.

Getting there: Rock Road has residents' parking restrictions Monday to Friday 10am-7pm; pay and display bays are available towards Cherry Hinton Road, with a 30-minute waiting restriction and an accessible bay outside the library. Stagecoach Citi 1 and Citi 3 buses serve the area.
