Aldeburgh Cinema Trust is a charity and independent single-screen cinema at 51 High Street, Aldeburgh, Suffolk. One of Britain's oldest cinemas, it has been at the heart of the local community for over 100 years (founded 1919 by Walter Hill) and offers a warm welcome with the best in contemporary cinema and big-screen entertainment. The regular programme includes family favourites and U/PG-rated children's films (e.g. Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, Moana) with afternoon matinees, plus classics, National Theatre Live, Royal Ballet & Opera broadcasts, and subtitled 'Hard of Hearing' screenings. The foyer bar/cafe serves Adnams beers, quality coffee and locally produced ice-cream. The cinema is also home to the annual Aldeburgh Documentary Festival (DocFest), which welcomes 2000-plus visitors each November.
