The Apex is a music and arts centre in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, owned and managed by West Suffolk Council. Its auditorium hosts a year-round programme of live music, comedy, theatre and dance, including popular children's and family shows (e.g. Fireman Sam live on stage) and school-holiday creative workshops such as Kids & Canvas painting fun for ages 5+ and Woodland Wonders craft sessions. Lifts serve the main auditorium levels and there are accessible toilets, an infra-red audio system with stethoscope headsets, and assistance dogs are welcome throughout. The on-site Coffee House serves drinks and light refreshments Monday to Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. Tickets are booked in advance online, by phone (01284 758000) or in person at the box office, which opens one hour before each performance and on Saturdays 10am-2pm. The building also houses the Apex Gallery.
