Free for garden entry ticket holders and Kew/Wakehurst members. Charges apply to National Trust members: up to 45 min free, 45-150 min £8.00, over 150 min £13.50 (ANPR). Blue Badge spaces next to Visitor Centre.

Kew Wakehurst is the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew's wild botanic garden near Ardingly in West Sussex. Spread across more than 500 acres of gardens, woodland and a nature reserve, it is a year-round outdoor day out for families. Explore the Wild Wood trail, follow the Tree Trunk Trek woodland adventure, hunt for the Dinosaur Trail, or get messy in the Children's & Community Garden's mud kitchen. Inside the modern Millennium Seed Bank building you can watch real scientists at work and explore the interactive Surviving or Thriving exhibition. Grab a bite at the Seed Cafe, Stables Kitchen or Stables Pantry, or bring a picnic for Coates Wood or the Mansion Lawn. Dogs are welcome on a short lead on the designated dog-friendly route. Wakehurst is owned by the National Trust and managed by Kew: entry is free for Kew/Wakehurst members and National Trust members (car parking charges apply to NT members). Closed 24-25 December.
Open all year, closed 24-25 December. Summer hours 10am-6pm; winter hours shorter (Nov 2025: 10am-4.30pm, last entry 4pm). Seasonal family events include Glow Wild (Christmas light trail) and Nature Heroes trails.
