Set on the banks of the River Arun, WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is a family-friendly wetland reserve in the heart of Arundel, West Sussex. Explore reedbeds, lakes and nature trails, spot bitterns, kingfishers and marsh harriers from the hides, and watch the resident wildfowl. Daily keeper talks take place at Pelican Cove (2pm) and the Coastal Creek aviary (noon), and the Wetland Discovery Boat Safari (£3 per person) takes you out onto the water. Younger visitors can enjoy the adventure play areas and pond dipping, plus seasonal family events such as the summer Dragonfly Festival. The centre has a café, gift shop, picnic areas, free parking and strong accessibility, including a Changing Places toilet and free wheelchair loan. Open every day except Christmas Day.
The Willow Sphere (reedbed viewing structure) is closed for repairs until Mon 10 Aug 2026 (site notice). Boat safaris run daily except Dec-Jan (weekends only in winter).
