Port Sunlight is a village founded in 1888 by William Lever, the 'Soap King', as a place for workers at the Lever Brothers' soap factory to live. The village is now home to a museum, the Lady Lever Art Gallery, The Gallery at Bridge Cottage, The Worker's Cottage, walking tours, parkland, and historic buildings and monuments. The site hosts exhibitions, lunchtime talks, open-air theatre, workshops and other events throughout the year.
