Pavilion Gardens is set within 23 acres of landscaped gardens in Buxton's spa town centre. There are large open picnic areas and playgrounds for children, a boating lake, and a miniature railway. The site also has a retail arcade selling crafts, cards, gifts and local produce. The gardens themselves date to 1871 and retain Victorian features. The venue hosts over 100 events and festivals throughout the year.
Miniature train, boating lake and lakeside hut operate seasonally (typically Summer, weather dependent). Ice cream parlour reopens late March. Adventure Play Area Kiosk open weekends and school holidays 11am-4pm (weather dependent).
