The last working water-powered linen beetling mill, with a 16-foot wheel powered by the river through beech wood cogs that drive the hammers. Guided tours last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The mill sits in a wooded glen along the Ballinderry River with walking trails and picnic spots. A traditional cottage is also on site. The beetling process — hammering linen to give it a smooth finish — was a key part of Ulster's 19th-century linen industry.

Guided tours of the mill available on open days (weekends in July and August). European Heritage Open Day (EHOD) at Wellbrook Beetling Mill on Sat 12 September 2026 with FREE ENTRY.
