Tay Forest Park is a patchwork of forests across Highland Perthshire with several woodland areas to explore. Faskally offers gentle paths and fine trees around Loch Dunmore. Craigvinean features specimen trees planted by the Dukes of Atholl with follies and viewpoints. Carie beside Loch Rannoch has peaceful burnside and woodland trails with wildlife sculptures. Drummond Hill provides views of Loch Tay and Glen Lyon. Allean Forest contains an 18th century farmstead and ruined Pictish ring fort. The forests showcase loch and mountain views, with trails revealing the history of plant hunters, lairds and foresters. You can explore evidence of Iron Age hillforts, ringforts, duns and crannogs across the landscape.
