Pick your own strawberries in Chichester! Dell Quay Pick Your Own is a family-run, all-weather fruit farm just a mile south of Chichester on the road to the Witterings. Entry to the farm is free and you pay only for what you pick.

All the fruit grows in large polytunnels housing over 35,000 strawberry and raspberry plants, with undercover, tabletop-height picking - so you can fill your punnet whatever the British weather is doing. Three strawberry varieties (Limalexia, Parlando and Allegro) are grown on site, plus raspberries, pumpkins in autumn and Christmas trees in December.

It's a proper family day out: the large open play area has a mud kitchen, pedal tractors, a sand area and hay bales, and the on-site cafe serves barista Cast Iron coffee, Kelly's ice cream, toasties, pizzas and cakes. There's a picnic area, free ample parking, accessible toilets, and the whole farm is pushchair friendly. Bring your own baskets if you like - it saves waste. No need to book, just turn up. Regretfully no dogs, except assistance dogs.
