Hamilton Water Palace is South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's flagship leisure pool, right in the centre of Hamilton. Open since 1995, it is one of the area's most popular family swimming destinations, averaging over 1,000 visits a day. Swimming facilities range from a 25m competition pool to leisure waters with a flume, lazy river and tyre slide, plus a uniquely shallow under-8s pool with an impressive pirate ship and interactive water features. A gym, fitness studio and health suite complete the four-star facility. Swimming lessons and holiday crash courses run throughout the year, with a separate pool timetable on the SLLC website - check it before visiting, as pool areas can close temporarily for operational reasons.
