Swansea Museum is the oldest museum in Wales, founded in 1841 by the Royal Institution of South Wales. Housed in a Grade II* listed building, the museum offers free admission and features six galleries with exhibits on Swansea's industrial heritage, maritime history, natural sciences, and social history. The museum operates multiple sites including the Marina Pontoon, Tramway Centre in Dylan Thomas Square, and the main museum building. Family-friendly with interactive displays, the museum also has a historic reference library, the Landore Collections Centre, and historic vessels in Swansea Marina.
