Brynmawr & District Museum is a local history museum run by Brynmawr and District Museum Society, housed in the Carnegie Library building on Market Square. The museum displays a varied collection of everyday artefacts from Brynmawr's past, including the renowned Brynmawr Furniture collection manufactured by one of the small industries set up by the Quakers in the Brynmawr Experiment. Other exhibits include school photographs, medical equipment, church and chapel china, police uniforms, scout and guide uniforms, and sporting cups. The museum has won the Nationwide Building Society award for Community Endeavour and offers a popular coffee morning on Thursday mornings.
