Lagan Valley Regional Park is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretching along the River Lagan between Belfast and Lisburn. The towpath connects award-winning parks, demesnes, woodland and meadows with a rich heritage spanning from the Stone Age to the industrial era. You can visit two restored heritage sites: Lock Keeper's Cottage and the Industry lighter, an original Lagan barge now moored at Lock No. 3. The cottage and barge are open to the public during the week with volunteer heritage guides. The park offers walking, cycling, watersports and wildlife spotting across its patchwork of natural areas.
