The Museum of Free Derry is the people’s story of government oppression, the struggle for civil rights, the descent into conflict, Free Derry and Bloody Sunday. Located at the heart of the Bogside in Derry, the museum is staffed by individuals deeply connected to the stories they tell. Visited by over 49,000 people in 2025, it offers self-guided tours (approx 90 minutes), exhibits on the Civil Rights movement, and eyewitness talks. Children aged 0-12 go free with a family group, and family passes are available.
