Muir of Dinnet is a National Nature Reserve in the Cairngorms National Park, managed by NatureScot. The reserve encompasses a wide range of habitats including dry heath, raised bog, woodland, and two lochs: Loch Kinord and Loch Davan. Its most striking feature is the Burn O'Vat, a dramatic gorge and giant pothole carved by meltwater during the last ice age. The visitor centre at Burn O'Vat explores the natural and cultural heritage of the reserve, with waymarked trails through woodland and around Loch Kinord.
