Glenmore Forest Park lies at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, offering centuries-old Caledonian pine forests, high rounded mountains, and Loch Morlich with its sandy beach — the highest beach in Britain. Families can enjoy walking trails of varying lengths, cycling routes, wildlife spotting, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing on Loch Morlich. The Glenmore Visitor Centre is a great starting point, with trails leading through ancient forest to beautiful lochans at the foot of dramatic scree slopes. In winter, visitors can try cross-country skiing or snowshoe trekking. The park is home to rare wildflowers and birds, with picnic spots and paid car parking available.
In winter, you could follow the surrounding trails on cross-country skis or try a snowshoe trek.
