West Woods is an ancient woodland south of Marlborough where the main draw is the bluebell display in late spring, carpeting areas of the forest floor. There is a network of walking trails through the woodland, including an easy access route. Cycling is permitted on stone-surfaced forest roads and bridgeways. Dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. A picnic area is available. The site is open 24 hours, 365 days a year, with free car park access, though note the 1.96m height restriction barrier.
Famous for spectacular bluebell displays in spring (late April to May). Check Forestry England website for seasonal updates.
