The Mothership is Bristol's bouldering centre spread across two floors, with hundreds of problems reset regularly for climbers of all levels. Bouldering is climbing close to the ground over soft mats with no ropes and no experience needed; children of any age can boulder with a registered adult, and over-16s can climb unsupervised. You can turn up without booking, hire shoes at reception and climb, or book a short induction if you're new. Alongside the walls are a gym, training boards and a treatment room. A café serves locally roasted coffee and snacks, open to the public without registration. There's a shop with climbing shoes, clothing and gear, free parking, bike parking, and showers and changing rooms.
