Free parking to rear of theatre (accessed via Greenwell Road), incl. disabled bays; display disc required in time-restricted car parks during the day (discs GBP 1 from Box Office/Visitor Information); no restrictions or fees after 6pm.

Alnwick Playhouse has been a vibrant part of the community since 1925, serving as an arts centre, theatre and cinema. Originally built as a 700-seat cinema and music hall, it was refurbished and reopened in 1990 as a community arts centre, with a major redevelopment in 2018-2020. Today it offers a diverse programme of family films, live theatre, pantomime, kids' shows, music concerts and community classes including youth theatre, community choir and concert band. The venue also houses the Playhouse Kitchen cafe serving food and drinks.
