Trentham Monkey Forest is a 60-acre woodland where 140 free-roaming Barbary macaques live. You walk among them to watch their natural behaviours from close up — this is the only place in the UK where you can do this. The conservation project has been open since 2005 and is the largest primate habitat in the UK. Each year between 6–10 babies are born high in the treetops. Visitors can book VIP experiences including a Morning with Monkeys session, where you help staff feed the monkeys at breakfast before the forest opens, or a Winter Walks private tour during the closed season. The site includes forest trails and a Banana Cafe.
Seasonal attraction, open February to November. Closed for winter in November; private winter walk tours only until February.
