Greenwich Park overlooks London from its highest hill, with sweeping views across the city's skyline. One Tree Hill offers a quieter vantage point. The world-famous Royal Observatory stands in the park's centre, marking the Greenwich Prime Meridian; visitors can stand on the line dividing the Eastern and Western hemispheres, then buy a ticket to explore inside. The Flower Garden features stately trees and bright flower beds. Tennis courts are available to book, and boat hire is possible on the water. Historic features include remains of a Roman temple (built around AD 100-400) in the south and Anglo-Saxon cemetery mounds to the east. Tree-lined avenues run through the park.
