Kentwell Hall is a Tudor moated house set in over 25 acres of gardens and parkland. The estate includes historic service buildings: the rare 15th-century Moat House contains a working dairy, bakery, brewhouse and stillroom. The gardens feature romantic moats, extensive lawns, walled areas, clipped yews, espaliered fruit trees and giant cedars. The house itself holds fine stained glass, portraits and historic tapestries. The venue runs living history events throughout the year where visitors step into different periods — Tudor life, Dickensian Christmas, various seasonal celebrations — with costumed interpreters and hands-on activities. On non-event days, the house, gardens and rare breed farm are open for self-paced visits.
Open seasonally: 30th March to October, Wed-Sun 11am-4pm. Special events through the year incl. Snowdrops, Easter, Tudor re-creation days, Dickensian Christmas - open dates vary by event; closed to the public outside these periods.
