The ADC Theatre is Britain's oldest university playhouse, with plays presented on the site since 1855. Run almost entirely by students with no faculty involvement, it is the centre of university and community theatre in Cambridge. The theatre presents professional standard productions across drama, musicals, pantomime and comedy, and has launched the careers of theatre luminaries including Sir Ian McKellen, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson, as well as the hit musical SIX.
