Aqua Park Lakeside is an inflatable water park on Alexandra Lake at Lakeside Shopping Centre featuring the UK's tallest obstacle and a collection of bespoke water obstacles. The park includes a giant slide standing 3.5m tall with a 5.5 metre drop, a diving tower, blast bags for launching into the water, a steep stairway climb, and playground-style strength tests. Sessions run through summer weekends and school holidays. Children aged 6 and over can attend; those aged 6–7 need constant 1:1 adult supervision, those aged 8–15 need an adult either on the park or observing from the shore, and those 16+ can attend unsupervised. You must be able to swim 25m unaided and be confident in the water, with a minimum height of 1.20m. Wetsuits are recommended and can be hired; swimwear, gym shorts or leggings are also permitted. All bookings must be made online in advance.
Season runs May through September. 2026: half-term 23–31 May; Fri/Sat/Sun through June; 7 days 8 Jul–1 Sep; weekends only until 13 Sep. Opening times vary — see bookings page.
