Charlton Lakeside is an outdoor leisure site in Charlton, near Andover, built around a large boating lake. The main draw for families is the adventure golf course, a crazy golf layout whose holes take their theme from Andover's Iron Age past, designed with the help of the local museum so it is educational as well as fun. Older children and adults can try the separate pitch and putt course, which is played over 18 holes. There is an outdoor playground for younger children, a café beside the lake, and grass and paths for walking and picnics. The park suits a relaxed afternoon out with the whole family.
