Cliffhanger Rooms is an indoor escape room venue in the South Lakes, set in a converted stone barn beside the Lakeland Motor Museum. Families and groups work as a team against the clock, solving puzzles, finding hidden clues and opening locks to complete each mission. The venue offers three different games: a haunted pirate ship hunt for pieces of eight, a bank vault heist, and a vampire castle story where the team must save a nervous vampire. The rooms are presented as family friendly, with no jump scares, and the staff can offer hints if a team gets stuck. Each room takes small teams of up to seven people, and several rooms can run at once for larger groups. It suits older children and teenagers as well as adults, and works well as a wet-weather activity on a Lake District visit.
