World of Wonder Playtime is an indoor play centre set up by a family of parents for young children. Its main draw is a role-play village where children from around a year old up to about seven can try out everyday grown-up roles, from shopping in a supermarket to playing doctors and nurses. A separate area is laid out for under-twos, with open-ended toys and sensory play stations for the youngest visitors. Sessions run for a fixed block of time, so families book a slot rather than arriving to an open-ended visit. There is a café serving food and drink for parents and children, and private party rooms for birthday celebrations. The centre also hosts classes, preschool trips and room hire. It suits parents of toddlers and preschoolers looking for a clean, structured place to play on a wet day.
