Escapism Chester is a live escape room venue in the middle of Chester, with five themed rooms to choose from. Each room is built around a different story, such as a museum heist, a radioactive lab or a missing-person mystery, and teams of two to six players are shut in together with one way in and one way out. The aim is to hunt for clues, crack codes and solve puzzles within the hour, with clues shown on screens and sound cues used to prompt players. The venue says younger players should be at least ten, and anyone under sixteen needs an adult on site, so it suits families with older children, teenagers and grown-ups who enjoy teamwork. Staff monitor each room on CCTV and an exit button lets anyone leave at any time. Some rooms are more physically demanding than others, so the venue recommends checking the room details before booking.
