Lady Heyes is a 15-acre attraction village on Kingsley Road in the Cheshire countryside, a short drive from Delamere Forest. Its shops occupy a set of farm buildings and cover antiques, vintage furniture, crafts, records, candles and gifts, so there is plenty to browse while children are elsewhere. The main family draw is Coco's Playbarn, a children's soft play centre where the little ones can play while adults have a drink or a bite to eat in the café next door. A food outlet and a sweet and dessert shop sit on site, and the grounds are open enough for a stroll between visits. The site also runs glamping pods and touring pitches, so families staying nearby can use the village as a day out. Opening arrangements should be checked before travelling.
Questions parents ask
- Is there food on site, or do we need to bring a picnic?
- There are two food outlets on site: Pod Kitchen, an innovative café and takeaway offering snacks, meals and baked goods, and The Candy Club, a sweet shop with milkshakes, waffles and cookie dough. Coco's Playbarn also has a café for food and drink while children play.
- How long should we allow for a visit?
- A typical visit lasts around 2 hours, which gives plenty of time to explore the attractions and amenities on the 15-acre site.
- Can we park easily, and is there a walk from the car?
- The site offers free parking. The layout includes numerous shops and attractions spread across the 15-acre grounds, though we haven't confirmed how far you walk from parking to the main play areas.
- Is it suitable if I have a toddler and an older child?
- Coco's Playbarn is a children's soft play centre with a café, which works well for mixed ages. We haven't confirmed whether buggies are manageable around the site's attractions and shops.
