Highland Offroad runs one-hour guided quad bike treks from The Steading at Dunkeld Park, on the edge of the village of Dunkeld. Riders start with a short introduction and a helmet fitting, then head onto a vehicle assault course with camel-back humps, cobbles and steep slopes before moving into the forest. The route combines wide forest tracks with narrower woodland trails, and the company says deer, birds of prey and red squirrels are often seen along the way. The venue markets its treks as a family day out for children aged 12 and over, who must ride with an adult. No previous experience is needed. The same business also offers corporate days and driver training, but the family appeal is the quad treks. Activities run through the year, so the experience is outdoors whatever the weather, and visitors are advised to bring waterproofs.
