A family farm in the Cotswold hills where visitors can walk among rows of lavender during the summer flowering season. Beyond the lavender fields there are wildflower meadows, a distillery where the oil is extracted from the crop, and a cabin selling drinks, snacks and lavender products. The Beechwood Trail is a woodland walk aimed at children, with a worksheet to pick up at the entrance to the fields and woodland creatures to find along the way. There is a children's play area, picnic benches among the lavender and shaded spots under the trees, so families can make a full afternoon of it. Dogs on leads are welcome outside the play area. The fields are open only in the summer months, so it suits a warm-weather visit rather than a winter outing.
Lavender fields open roughly mid-June to early August, peak bloom late June to July.
