Surrey Docks Farm

Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm and education charity on the south bank of the Thames in Rotherhithe. A paved route circles the fields, so younger visitors can see the animals up close without much walking. Goats, sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and a pony are kept on site, and a weekend session lets children meet the smaller animals. Beyond the farmyard there are community gardens, an orchard, bee hives and a wildlife garden along the river. A farm shop sells produce and animal feed, and a coffee shop sits just outside the entrance. The farm also runs a youth programme and workshops for school and nursery groups, making it a relaxed, free outing for families close to the river.
