Charnwood Forest Alpacas is a family-friendly animal farm on the Leicestershire and Derbyshire border, at Boundary on the outskirts of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Meet rescue donkeys rehomed from UK beaches - try a 45-minute Donkey Grooming or Donkey Walk experience (both 29.95 per person) - plus alpacas, rare breed goats, sheep, pigs and horses. There's a petting farm (PukkaPacas & Friends) open Thu-Sun 10am-3.30pm (last entry 3pm), the Chilli Bean cafe (Thu-Sun 9am-4pm) and a gift shop. All experiences must be booked online in advance; the farm also opens on bank holidays and most school holidays.
