Aqua Sports runs watersports from the shore of Mercers Lake, a former sand quarry that is now a country park south of London. Families can book a short sailing, kayak or stand-up paddleboard session, and the centre offers a family offer where several people share one boat or board. Younger children are catered for through junior taster sessions and activity-based birthday parties, and older children can join courses and holiday camps. The lakeside is surrounded by woodland and wildlife, so a walk around the water fits alongside time on the lake. There is a cafe and bar overlooking the lake for a break between sessions. Suits families with older children and those who want something more active than a standard park visit. Booking ahead is sensible for family sessions.
