The Milk Barn is an ice cream parlour and café on a working dairy farm on the edge of Falkirk, in the rolling Stirlingshire countryside. Ice cream is made on the premises from milk from the farm's own herd, which is milked just a short distance away, so families can link a treat with a look at farm life. Children can have a go at milking Glenda, a fibreglass cow, and there is a children's play area to burn off energy afterwards. The café serves coffee, sandwiches, baguettes and paninis, which suits a relaxed family lunch or a stop on a countryside walk or bike ride. Cycle racks and a water bowl for dogs are provided. Because it is a small farm site rather than a large attraction, a visit is best kept short and relaxed, and it can get busy at weekends.
