Rainbow House is a long-running drop-in for pre-school children and the adults who look after them. It runs from the large hall of Wesley Memorial Church in the centre of Oxford, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during school term-time. Families come in for inexpensive home-made snacks and lunches, with children's portions available, and the children have space to play with toys, books and a climbing frame. Baby feeding and changing facilities are provided, and the centre welcomes parents who want to breastfeed. It suits babies, toddlers and pre-school children with a carer, and it is a relaxed place for parents to meet other families over a coffee while the children play. It has been running since the mid-1980s and is staffed by a coordinator and a team of volunteers.
