Heythrop Zoological Gardens is the home of the Amazing Animals training company, set in Cotswolds countryside near Chipping Norton. The site is not a normal public zoo: it is a private animal training centre that usually admits visitors by booking. Families can book small-group animal encounters with species such as sloths, wolves, tigers, penguins and monkeys, or arrange an exclusive guided visit of the zoo. The operator also runs themed children's parties and says it welcomes school and college groups for educational visits. In past years it held a short run of September open days for the general public, though the operator has now suspended these until further notice. Dogs are not permitted on site, and the operator notes limited access for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
